Understanding the sovereignty of God is exceedingly important. There is much written about this subject. Honestly high of it I'm sure misrepresents who God is. So I'm offering this article to talk about my insights in hope of bringing some clarity, at least what In my opinion is clarity, to that subject. Many Christians apparently imagine that sovereignty means, complete control. God is within complete treating His creation, even so the word sovereignty does not address that. Sovereignty does not necessarily address what God is or seriously isn't controlling. I am not saying questioning God's sovereignty, the definition.
Sovereignty addresses His to self govern. This means He can perform what He wants, when He wants, anytime He wants. He doesn't need any the aid of anyone, and there is no-one to stop Him doing as He pleases. Which means that God provides the right over His personal creation to govern it anyway He sees fit. Using with that being said we still haven't address what things He's, or seriously isn't controlling. Sovereignty simply addresses His to rule anyway He wants, and this He has the capability in order to reach His personal will, and the time to sustain that can, regardless of who does or will not tolerate it.
Now that begs the question. What has this sovereign God of ours thought we would sovereignty do? He sovereignty made man in His image and gave him a soul, a will. God sovereignty gave man the chance to make choices and follow them through. There isn't any conflict regarding the sovereignty of God and the need of human because God is the individual that made man by using a will. Why did God give man a will from the start? This never appears to be addressed. How does man employ a will? Check this out from loves reason for view. Love is the action of the need which says, I select to put anyone with a needs, or desires, above my own personal because I enjoy you. Current debts love seriously isn't legitimate unless the right to choose, not to like, exists.
In my opinion God created man for a relationship by which man had a legitimate right to decide on God's will over his own. That act is an action of love. In my opinion God created man in His image to ensure God could give and receive love at a being who's choice to like would be a pure choice. A choice that had not been from the full power over God over his will. Only then could God receive real legitimate love is god real. Now God is absolutely ruling over His creation in power undertaking His will for the earth and His overall arrange for man as well. There's no doubt about that. But would it seem sensible to you that God's will for man would have been to receive from him, love. To acquire this love, man must manage to choose not to follow to ensure following will be an action of love on his part. It had been God's sovereign will to create man in this way!
What else has this sovereign God chosen to undertake? Carry out the promises provide us with any suggestion? Does He put anything before us like, life and death, blessing and cursing? Does He give instruction and wisdom to allow us. Does He give grace? Does He heal, and restore, and make new? Yes! Many of these everything's the sovereign will of God for man that man must choose to receive. Love chooses to give and yes it chooses to receive. The sovereignty of God isn't the dictatorship of God. I doubt anyone ever really loves their dictator! It is the love of God that may be so frequently missing on the discussion of the effectiveness of God! If the love of God seriously isn't foundational in our perception of the powerful rule of God over His creation you have to will finally misunderstand, the sovereignty of God.
